I’ve been in 20+ different countries in the last 2 or so years. Here’s a list of 20 important things I learned.
#1 Keeping all your possessions to less than 23 + 10kg simplifies life.
#2 MacBook Pro is nowadays what a plow-horse used to be 100 years ago.
#3 Social media is more dangerous than people realize.
#4 One to three months is the ideal amount of time to stay in a country you like.
#5 Health insurance is overrated.
#6 It’s okay to feel and accept any emotion, including the “bad ones”.
#7 If you want to stay lean, you need to weigh yourself every day.
#8 When possible, always hire a cleaner. Ideally they also cook.
#9 Having sex with people you don’t really like is not a great strategy.
#10 Quality of contact with friends and family trumps quantity.
#11 Always carry some cash.
#12 Each person and city has their own unique and beautiful soul.
#13 The secret to mental peace, everlasting health and massive productivity is taking a walk.
#14 You really don’t need more than 3-4 pairs of pants/shoes/sweaters.
#15 You can improve many of your decisions just by sleeping them over.
#16 True purpose of a person is deducted from their actions, not words.
#17 Music can make you happy & calm.
#18 Being truly aware of your and others` emotions is a little bit like being a wizard.
#19 The other secret to mental peace, everlasting health and massive productivity is consistency.
#20 Nobody has it figured out. Bonus: Life is full of free seats. Don’t ask anyone. Don’t tell anyone. Just take it.
