“We work like fucking animals, I´m talking 18 hour work days here. There´s barely any time for chasing girls, working on the brand will always have priority. Your main task will be super gangster, high-pressure, in-club video filming. You will film in some of the world´s most prestigious night clubs.
Next, you will be spending a lot of time on video editing. You´ll be organizing seminar rooms, working with social media, and even stuff like buying groceries and running any other errands.”
“Sounds great, I´m excited!”
“You also know, that you have to pay all your expenses, right? Each week a different plane ticket, plus all the food and anything else you need. We´ll just provide you with free accommodation via our volunteer network. How much money do you have?”
“4000 pounds, which is 5000€.”
“Well, I needed 15.000 for my internship. What´s your backup plan?”
“I got good credit score, I can take a loan.”
“Cool. So listen, last questions, the obvious one, why do you think you would be a good fit for out team?”
“Max, look. I´m young and full of energy, I want to grab the bull by its balls. I´m not afraid to work hard, I can hustle. This is a amazing opportunity for an adventure, and I love adventures. The fact that I left my home country to create a new home twice can confirm that. Once to Lithuania and once to London, where I reside now.”
“Besides that, I´m a very positive person and fun to be around with. I believe my positive energy can be a great and soothing addition to a team that´s under so much pressure. Also, I´m an experienced traveller and don´t complicate. I learnt that during my years of room sharing.”
“So look, I´m young, energetic, ready to learn, got money and time and a shitload of passion. You will not be sorry for taking me!”
“Okay. I´ll talk to Vini and then get back to you. Thanks!”
“Thank you, Bye.”
My heart is pounding. I think I did well. I sit in my little box room in East London and go through the interview in my mind one more time. Yeah, I gave it my best. Shit, I was just on Skype interview with one of the world´s best dating coaches. And I think I did good. I go back to sleep, because it´s 4am.
I kind of forget the interview in next days, as I´m scheduling a trip to Prague with a good friend. It´s actually pretty good to be without a job, I got a lot of time to try new things. For example trying myself as a Virtual Reality salesman, trying to pitch the new technology to some architectural firms around in London. And street dancing for money on Trafalgar square is pretty cool too…
Prague, September 2015
I´m just leaving my hostel and my phone vibrates. I got a new mail. Wait, it´s from Max. I open it and read:
Hey Bostjan!
So Vini and me talked a lot and we decided that we would like to work with you as the new B assistant. If you accept the position it would be awesome if you could join us in Vienna on the 22nd of September for a little test week and if everything is fine you’d continue traveling with us through Europe for the rest of the year and if possible, even next year.

“WOOOOOOOOOOOO, OH MY GOOOOOOOD!” I start screaming and dancing around with joy in the middle of Prague. People thought I was weird. I didn’t care. My friend is watching me and laughing. I think he´s happy for me. I quickly jot down the reply, and double-triple check it for spelling errors:

Wohoooo, Yes! I was just screaming with excitement in the middle of Prague, haha 🙂
I’m definitely in, and will write a more detailed answer when the excitement settles in. It’s gonna be an amazing journey for all of us!

So there we go, the 2nd released chapter of my upcoming book. The Draft is nearly finished now, but I´m guessing it will still need a lot of time before all the proof reading, re-writing and all else. How did you like this? Is it exciting?
